This is the 3rd class in the series of 3 classes in the complete session.

In an emergency our daily communications devices may become overloaded and be instantly

inoperable leaving you without the ability to communicate and reunite with your loved ones.

Amateur Radio (HAM Radio) has remained a trusted system for primary and/or backup systems for modern day disaster management. With an inexpensive (approx. $25/ea. and up) handheld HAM radio you can have a reliable communication system in case of an emergency, for a fun new hobby, or both!  BONUS…


If you are like me and can’t stand to pre-study… Nick Meacher has agreed to meet for a Q&A pre-class study session @ ASR Training Center on Thursday, 16 March from 6-9pm prior to the HAM Radio Class on 18March. There is no cost associated with this Q&A.



  1. Student will understand rules and general operating principles of amateur radio.
  2. Student will learn phonetic alphabet.
  3. Student will learn universal radio procedures.
  4. Student will learn basic antenna theory and radio wave propagation.
  5. Student will be equipped to pass FCC exam for Technician Class-Amateur Radio License.

Materials Provided by Students: 

-Water bottle as water fountains are available in training area.

-Notebook, pencil

-Access free study info online

Materials Provided by Instructor:

-Instructor, presentation and testing materials

-Registered students will have access to Nick on 16March 6-9pm for free Q&A pre-class study time at ASR Training Center, 6649 S. Paris Street, Centennial, CO 80111.



AM Basic Rules and Regulations, Radio Procedures, etc.

Working Lunch 12-1pm

PM Weak Signal Propagation, Digital Basic Electronics, Antennas Test preparation and FCC Test.

Students will receive access to free pre-study guide.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Substitutions of attendee may be made at any time.
  • Attendees must cancel at least 72 hours prior to the course date to receive a full refund less a $15 administrative fee.
  • For cancellations received within 48 hours of the course date no cash refunds will be provided. Instead, a one-time class rescheduling can be made. A rescheduled course must occur within 12 months from original course date. If a course has not been attended within the 12 month period all course fees are forfeited by the participant.
  • Failure to attend the course or cancellations less than 48 hours notification will result in no refund or credit of the course fee or rescheduling.

Centennial Gun Club reserves the right to cancel or reschedule seminars at any time. IF we cancel or reschedule the seminar due to weather or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, you are entitled to a full refund. Centennial Gun Club is not responsible for travel arrangements, travel fees, or any expenses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation. IF the Gun Store at Centennial cancels a seminar in which you are enrolled, you will be contacted at the email address you provided when registering, so please be sure to provide a valid email address and check your-email prior to attending class.
