Who is JJ Racaza?

JJ Racaza is a world-renowned competitive shooter, decorated firearms instructor, and former Federal Law Enforcement Officer; an extraordinary career spanning elite training to record-breaking achievements. As a professional shooter for Beretta USA, JJ has set and held multiple world speed shooting records. In 2022, he claimed the #1 world ranking by winning the IPSC World Shoot title in the Carry Optic Division. JJ has represented the U.S. as a 3-time Gold Team Member.

His impressive career also includes a long list of national and international titles. JJ served as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer and was the primary firearms instructor for the Department of Homeland Security. He continues to train elite military and law enforcement units across the country, specializing in high-performance shooting techniques and operational efficiency. JJ holds multiple instructor certifications, including Firearms Training, Defensive Measures, Non-Lethal Training, Combative
Training, ECQ/CQB (Extreme Close Quarters Battle) Training, and Mission Training.

JJ Racaza 2-Day Handgun Competition Class

Location: Centennial Gun Club
Dates: Tuesday & Wednesday, October 27–28, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM each day
Cost: $800 for the two-day course
Availability: Limited slots available

Prerequisites & Required Equipment

• Preference will be given to students who actively compete in practical shooting matches.
• Students must demonstrate safe and proficient firearm handling in all aspects of firearm operation.
• Sturdy belt or competition belt setup.
• Strong-side OWB holster that securely covers the trigger guard.
• IWB and appendix holsters are not permitted.
• Minimum of 2 magazine pouches.
• Minimum of 2 high-capacity magazines.
• Eye and ear protection.
• Approximately 600+ rounds of ammunition.

Course Information

There is no set number of rounds required per day. This course is not structured around a predetermined series of drills; instead, the drills and training are driven by the students and their individual skill development.

Please note: This is a competition-focused handgun class, not a defensive shooting course.

Course Cancellation and Change Policy

  • Attendee substitutions may be made at any time.
  • Classes rescheduled less than 48 hours will incur a rescheduling fee of $25 per person.
  • Failure to attend the course, or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance, will result in no refund, credit of the course fee, or rescheduling.
  • Centennial Gun Club reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes at any time. If we cancel or reschedule a class due to weather or circumstances beyond our control, you are entitled to a full refund.
  • Centennial Gun Club is not responsible for travel arrangements, travel fees, or any expenses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation. If Centennial Gun Club cancels a class in which you are enrolled, you will be contacted at the email address you used to register. Please be sure to provide a valid email address and check your email before class.
