Concealed Handgun Permit is a classroom and range-based course that is designed to teach you the what, when, where, why, and how of carrying a firearm for personal protection.
NOTE: This is the refresher course, not for new CHP applicants
You must hold a valid concealed handgun permit in the state of CO or be within your specific county’s expiration grace period to take this class. This class only covers the CO requirements for a renewal permit. NO NEW CHP APPLICANTS
Concealed Carry Permit Refresher/Renewal is a classroom and range-based course that is designed to teach you the what, when, where, why, and how of carrying a firearm for personal protection. This is not a beginner shooting class, you must hold a valid CHP permit to be eligible for renewal. This class meets all Colorado training requirements in HB24-1174 to apply for your concealed handgun permit. A written concealed handgun competency exam and live-fire shooting exercise will be administered and must be passed in order to obtain your CHP certificate.
- PREREQUISITES – You must hold a valid Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit to be eligible for a certificate from this class. This is not an introductory class. Customer should already be familiar with how to safely load, shoot and unload their firearms.
- Must be familiar with handgun safety fundamentals, loading, and basic live fire experience
- If not certain of personal skill level, Pistol 101 is a great foundation or contact us for any questions
- Students must demonstrate handgun proficiency by successfully completing a prescribed course of fire

- 4 basic Firearm safety rules.
- Knowledge and safe handling of firearms and ammunition.
- Safe storage of firearms and child safety.
- Safe firearms shooting fundamentals.
What To Bring:
- Your handgun
- 2+ magazines (make sure they are empty)
- 50-100 rounds of ammunition NON-Steel Core (50 rounds is the minimum requirement)
- Eye and ear protection
- Notebook & pen
- Snacks and drinks encouraged
- Please bring your unloaded firearm in a case/bag

Course Cancellation and Change Policy
- Attendee substitutions may be made at any time.
- Classes rescheduled less than 48 hours will incur a rescheduling fee of $25 per person.
- Failure to attend the course, or cancellations less than 24 hours in advance, will result in no refund, credit of the course fee, or rescheduling.
- Centennial Gun Club reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes at any time. If we cancel or reschedule a class due to weather or circumstances beyond our control, you are entitled to a full refund.
- Centennial Gun Club is not responsible for travel arrangements, travel fees, or any expenses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation. If Centennial Gun Club cancels a class in which you are enrolled, you will be contacted at the email address you used to register.
