Outdoor | Mid Range Precision Rifle Shooting
Improve rifle accuracy at distance. Learn setup, zeroing, wind adjustments, shooting positions, and D.O.P.E. cards for confident long-range shots
This outdoor classes are NOT held at our main Centennial location, details on the exact location will come roughly a week before the class starts. The outdoor location is roughly 1.5 hours east of our main Centennial location.
WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR
- Shooters who are looking to increase the distance and accuracy of their rifle
- Hunters and long range shooters
- Customers who own and are familiar with their own rifle.
- Anyone looking to improve their handling skills and take it to the next level.
WHAT IS THE CLASS ABOUT/WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- How to set your bolt action or semi-auto up for long range shooting.
- How to zero your rifle at a set distance and understand windage/elevation adjustment to hit at further distances.
- How to read distances and environmental factors
- How to shoot from various positions.
- How to create a D.O.P.E. card
PREREQUISITES
- Completion of previous rifle training or instructor approval (please call 720.466.8651 to inquire)
- Quality bolt action or semi auto firearm capable of accurate shooting at 100-400yards
WHAT TO BRING
- Your rifle with scope mounted
- 200 rounds of your preferred ammuntion
- Several magazines if your rifle requires one
- Bipod on your rifle
- Optional but encouraged
- Range Finder, Tripod, Shooting mat, Shooting bags (rear and/or front), scope bubble level
- Food & Water (there is nowhere nearby for food)
- IFAK or medical kit
- Firearms maintenance kit
- Extra batteries for optices/accessories
- Sunscreen
- Appropriate clothing & footwear for an outdoor range
- Gloves if desired
- Permanent marker & pen/notebook (note taking is encouraged and required to complete your DOPE card)
- Chair if desired
